I have always loved competing in team sports since my childhood, including football, cricket, athletics, swimming and even volleyball. I also trained as a gymnast in my youth, at School in south Staffordshire but wasn’t fortunate enough to compete more than a handful of times, locally.
As an adult I continued playing football through college, where I was Captain and then took up high diving at Crystal Palace for a few years, followed by flying trapeze at Circus Space, East London as well as the Brazilian martial art/fight/dance called Capoeira ( www.capoeira.co.uk ), which I would like to be able to continue practising in the future.
Since returning to the Midlands I have found it difficult to carry on with such interesting and unique activities so came along to Telford Twisters to see if I could get involved. I have been very happy at the welcome I have received by the team here and have now signed up to complete my coaching awards.

Nigel took over the club and she started to enter the West Midlands Qualifier competitions and also the Schools County competitions. She was the County champion for 6 years running in various age groups and she came in the top 3 in many qualifier competitions.
She started to learn how to coach at the age of 16 and often helped out at Nigel's sessions. When she was 18 she qualified as a coach and started her own session. Shortly after Nigel put Chris and Becky in charge of the squad sessions on a Sunday. Over the next few years Becky went on to complete higher coaching qualifications and has passed her Senior Club Coach (level 4) qualification.
Becky loves being able to pass on her own knowledge and experience and to have the opportunity to see children progress and reach their full potential. She likes the fact that unlike some clubs we cater for all abilities including recreational bouncers and not just those who want to compete.
